Struct rustc_hir::hir_id::ItemLocalId
source · [−]pub struct ItemLocalId {
private: u32,
}Expand description
An ItemLocalId uniquely identifies something within a given “item-like”;
that is, within a hir::Item, hir::TraitItem, or hir::ImplItem. There is no
guarantee that the numerical value of a given ItemLocalId corresponds to
the node’s position within the owning item in any way, but there is a
guarantee that the LocalItemIds within an owner occupy a dense range of
integers starting at zero, so a mapping that maps all or most nodes within
an “item-like” to something else can be implemented by a Vec instead of a
tree or hash map.
Fields
private: u32Implementations
sourceimpl ItemLocalId
impl ItemLocalId
sourcepub const MAX_AS_U32: u32
pub const MAX_AS_U32: u32
Maximum value the index can take, as a u32.
sourcepub const fn from_usize(value: usize) -> Self
pub const fn from_usize(value: usize) -> Self
sourcepub const unsafe fn from_u32_unchecked(value: u32) -> Self
pub const unsafe fn from_u32_unchecked(value: u32) -> Self
Creates a new index from a given u32.
Safety
The provided value must be less than or equal to the maximum value for the newtype. Providing a value outside this range is undefined due to layout restrictions.
Prefer using from_u32.
sourceimpl ItemLocalId
impl ItemLocalId
sourcepub const INVALID: ItemLocalId
pub const INVALID: ItemLocalId
Signal local id which should never be used.

Layout
Note: Most layout information is completely unstable and may even differ between compilations. The only exception is types with certain repr(...) attributes. Please see the Rust Reference’s “Type Layout” chapter for details on type layout guarantees.
