Represents a constant in Rust.
Variants
Param(ParamConst)
Tuple Fields
0: ParamConstA const generic parameter.
Infer(InferConst<'tcx>)
Tuple Fields
0: InferConst<'tcx>Infer the value of the const.
Bound(DebruijnIndex, BoundVar)
Bound const variable, used only when preparing a trait query.
Placeholder(PlaceholderConst<'tcx>)
Tuple Fields
0: PlaceholderConst<'tcx>A placeholder const - universally quantified higher-ranked const.
Unevaluated(Unevaluated<'tcx>)
Tuple Fields
0: Unevaluated<'tcx>Used in the HIR by using Unevaluated everywhere and later normalizing to one of the other
variants when the code is monomorphic enough for that.
Value(ConstValue<'tcx>)
Tuple Fields
0: ConstValue<'tcx>Used to hold computed value.
Error(DelaySpanBugEmitted)
Tuple Fields
A placeholder for a const which could not be computed; this is propagated to avoid useless error messages.
Implementations
Tries to evaluate the constant if it is Unevaluated. If that doesn’t succeed, return the
unevaluated constant.
pub(super) fn try_eval(
self,
tcx: TyCtxt<'tcx>,
param_env: ParamEnv<'tcx>
) -> Option<Result<ConstValue<'tcx>, ErrorReported>>
pub(super) fn try_eval(
self,
tcx: TyCtxt<'tcx>,
param_env: ParamEnv<'tcx>
) -> Option<Result<ConstValue<'tcx>, ErrorReported>>
Tries to evaluate the constant if it is Unevaluated. If that isn’t possible or necessary
return None.

fn try_super_fold_with<F: FallibleTypeFolder<'tcx>>(
self,
folder: &mut F
) -> Result<Self, F::Error>
Consumers may find this more convenient to use with infallible folders than
try_super_fold_with, to which the
provided default definition delegates. Implementors should not override
this provided default definition, to ensure that the two methods are coherent
(provide a definition of try_super_fold_with instead). Read more

Returns true if self has any late-bound regions that are either
bound by binder or bound by some binder outside of binder.
If binder is ty::INNERMOST, this indicates whether
there are any late-bound regions that appear free. Read more
Returns true if this self has any regions that escape binder (and
hence are not bound by it). Read more
“Free” regions in this context means that it has any region that is not (a) erased or (b) late-bound. Read more
True if there are any un-erased free regions.
Indicates whether this value definitely references only ‘global’ generic parameters that are the same regardless of what fn we are in. This is used for caching. Read more

This method turns the parameters of a DepNodeConstructor into an opaque Fingerprint to be used in DepNode. Not all DepNodeParams support being turned into a Fingerprint (they don’t need to if the corresponding DepNode is anonymous). Read more
This method tries to recover the query key from the given DepNode,
something which is needed when forcing DepNodes during red-green
evaluation. The query system will only call this method if
fingerprint_style() is not FingerprintStyle::Opaque.
It is always valid to return None here, in which case incremental
compilation will treat the query as having changed instead of forcing it. Read more
Layout
Note: Most layout information is completely unstable and may even differ between compilations. The only exception is types with certain repr(...) attributes. Please see the Rust Reference’s “Type Layout” chapter for details on type layout guarantees.
